There is a possibility to see a Mugen version of the upcoming sports car, according to firm’s european vice president. Hiroki Toyoda says that the hybrid powertrain that will be found on the new CR-Z will offer a new set of tuning opportunities.
The electric motor will act as a kind of turbo at low speeds, in order to compensate the lack of torque in the naturally-aspirated petrol engines. Until we will the Mugen CR-Z, we have to tell those who don’t know it yet, that the production version of the Honda CR-Z hybrid sports car will make its official debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show!
